Sunday @ 10am – The Way of Compassion
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy – Jesus
What does it mean to live with true compassion in a world that desperately needs mercy?
This Sunday, we’ll wrestle with one of Jesus’ most challenging teachings. How do we show genuine mercy without enabling harmful behavior? What’s the difference between compassion that heals and kindness that hurts? These aren’t easy questions, but they’re essential ones for anyone seeking to follow the way of Jesus.
The tension is real: We want to be merciful, but we also see how “mercy” can sometimes perpetuate cycles of harm. We long to be compassionate, but wonder if we’re actually helping or hurting. Jesus calls us blessed when we’re merciful—but what does that mercy actually look like in our families, friendships, and community?
