“Unprecedented, highest on record, lowest on record, worst on record, never before seen, unaffordable, unsafe, incurable, violent, abandoned, scam, sham, infected, burnt out, harassed, carcinogenic, vilified, fake, terrorist, weaponised, persecuted, genocide, corrupt, inept, ……..” are the go to descriptions for today’s news and are magnified and multiplied through social media and fear mongering commentators and it’s having an impact on our mental and emotional wellbeing. The common antidote to uncertainty is often thought to be control, yet one might wonder if control has always been merely an illusion.
