DESCRIPTION:Banyule Churches Together are pleased to host the 2025 World Day of Prayer. This year the country of focus is The Cook Islands. The prayer resources have been prepared by the Cook Islands WDP Committee with the theme: ‘I Made You Wonderful’. \nAn offering will be received towards the Cook Islands “I made you wonderful” WDP Project 2025. The project is a collaboration between the Bible Society of the South Pacific and World Day of Prayer to reach women and children in the Cook Islands\, addressing gender violence against women and girls with Bible-based Trauma Healing programs\, and bridging the gap of Scriptural understanding and spiritual growth of children with Sunday School teachers training. Chair of the Catholic Social Services Domestic Violence Working Group \nJoshua Lourensz – Executive Director Catholic Social Services \nRefreshments will be served following the presentations. \nAll Welcome \nThe McKinney Lectures\nRev. Dr. Richard McKinney\, born in 1938\, was a distinguished theologian and ecumenist who passed away on November 20\, 1996. He was known for his profound insights into the doctrine of the Triune God and his commitment to ecumenism\, bringing together diverse Christian traditions. Dr. McKinney served as the Director of Trinity Theological School until his retirement in August 1996. For over 20 years the Churches of East Ivanhoe\, Ivanhoe\, Heidelberg and Rosanna have been hosting an annual ecumenical Advent and Lenten lecture series in memory of Dick McKinney. Dick was a passionate ecumenist renowned for his intellect\, imagination and sharp wit. Over these past two decades and more\, a diverse range of men and women representing the breadth of Christian thought and experience have spoken in his memory.

DESCRIPTION:This Sunday we meet with our Mosaic Network partners for a Combined Church Service to be held at: \nRegent Baptist Church\, 734 High Street Reservoir VIC 3073 \nThe theme for the service is: Jesus at the Margins \n\nOur Guest Speaker is: Rev Dr Inoke Veamatahau \nInoke is an associate pastor at Werribee Baptist Church and is pioneering the establishment of Fresh Hope Australia\, a ministry to support the empowerment of individuals to live a full and rich faith-filled life in spite of a mental health diagnosis.
